Ralph Insinga was born in Washington D.C. in 1975. A
lifelong fan of baseball, he was a research associate at
the National Library and Archive of the National Baseball
Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY from 1994-96. He initially
compiled and edited this dictionary while living in
Santiago, Chile at Stanford University’ s overseas
campus in 1995. He later returned to Chile as a Fulbright
Scholar in 1997-98. Mr. Insinga received his B.A. from
Stanford University in 1997 and in 2003 will complete a
Ph.D. in Population Health Sciences at the University of
Wisconsin. He has also published regularly in the health
and medical literature and currently resides in Madison,
Wisconsin.
